Posters - what a lovely, vain passion

I love posters - especially ones from the good, old time, whatever that means. This is my second site about posters, the first one was founded a couple of 4-5 years ago and is still alive and kicking. It is in Finnish and it's more like a site with a general overview of different types of posters. With this new site I would like to show people retro and vintage posters. I fell in love with these earlier this year when I was browsing the vintage category in AllPosters. I am sure you will find some items too, that you can't get out of your mind until you buy one. Don't worry, I have been there too and if it makes you feel any better, this "illness" will get worse over the time. Nevertheless, I am glad you visited my site.

Why retro & vintage posters?

Why not? I think that this is a good time to look back and see what our fathers and grandfathers did and what kind of time they lived in. The posters presented on this site give us a pretty good picture of the culture, society, and even business of the earlier decades of the 20th century. Even though I didn't live those days I have very strong feelings towards old times and recent history. A lot of remarkable events took place and so many great people lived in the last century. Their influence can be seen even today. Thus these posters are a outstanding part of our history, present and future. What could be a better way to honor your roots than putting one of these posters on your wall?

Vintage posters from Finland

I am from Finland and therefore I would like to show you some vintage art from my home country. Finland is famous for its architects, glass designers and gutsy athletes. And Nokia cell phones are also from Finland. We do have some famous painters whose paintings can be bought as posters. One of them is Akseli Gallen-Kallela (you can google the name).
